safi: kitchener newborn photographer

Pure sweetness and joy.  These are the words that come to my mind when I look through this family’s set of images.  It also beautifully represents what I love to give to newborn photography clients.  A mix of images that capture the natural beauty of their newborn child.  Nothing too fussy.  The softness of a blanket and the simplicity of a naked baby.  There really is nothing more a baby needs.

Like the rest of my photography, I love focusing on connection.  As beautiful as babies are on their own, they also need to be cuddled and adored.

And tell me this guy doesn’t just brighten up your day!

Like I said, pure joy and sweetness!

I’m speechless Cath and Angela. Beautiful!

Angela - May 24, 2013 - 5:06 pm

I can’t get over how good you are at capturing the essence of people – especially kids. You caught the glint in the eyes of my baby and the giggle in the heart of my toddler. We can’t thank you enough for photographing our engagement, our wedding, and our 2 beautiful children. Hugs and kisses to you, Catherine!

Catherine - May 24, 2013 - 5:18 pm

Angela – you have no idea how much your words mean to me! It is so validating to have my passion recognized by the parents of the children I photograph. And it has been so incredibly meaningful to be a part of all these milestones in your family! Can’t wait to watch your beautiful children grow. Hugs, Catherine

juyah: waterloo children’s photographer

There were two places Juyah wanted to be during our beautiful morning session.  One – in his parents’ arms.  Two – running away from me and his parents.  And if you know anything about toddlers, you can guess that he was mostly interested in the second option.  This dynamic of working with children is exactly why I love on location family and children’s sessions versus being confined to a studio.  Not only are my sessions an adventure in exploring and allowing children to be relaxed and carefree, but families receive images in stunning locations with unbeatable natural light.

Love this top expression!  And oh those lashes!

selena, mira and noa: waterloo family photographer

“I didn’t think this would be so much fun!”    Could there be a better quote coming from a 7 year old during one of my photo sessions?  This pretty much sums up what I strive for in each of my sessions.  It’s about having fun and being with the people you love most in the world.  Who doesn’t want an image on their wall that tells this story?

A special thank you to these 3 beautiful girls!  Loved all the “girl power” talk and especially the tic tacs!

Anna - May 9, 2013 - 11:48 am

Thanks Catherine! Love these shots! The girls had such a great time with you too! You really made it fun for them by being so personable and friendly and taking the time to connect with them in their own way. The results show how comfortable they felt. Thanks again for this opportunity! It will be lovely to have these to look back on in a few years…
